Red Flags in Device Sales Job Postings

Not every “medical sales” posting is a quality device role. Screen listings before you invest interview time.

Posting red flags

  • No product category or specialty mentioned
  • Unrealistic income claims without structure
  • 1099-only with vague contract terms
  • Constant rep churn language disguised as “urgent hire”

What good postings include

  • Territory geography and call expectations
  • Product line and care setting
  • Base/OTE structure or realistic range
  • Experience requirements tied to cases
